MS Dhoni becomes the First Cricketer to Achieve this in IPL:- Indian ex-skipper and the captain of Chennai Super Kings, Mahendar Singh Dhoni added one more feather for his cap. There are several rumors about his exit from IPL after the poor performance by Dhoni along with his team in the last season. But MS Dhoni is all set to continue representing Chennai Super Kings for the next season. MS Dhoni will be the first ever cricketer to draw Rs 150 crores as salary for IPL. Dhoni earned Rs 137 crores as salary for IPL and Chennai Super Kings decided to retain the star cricketer for one more season. He will be taking Rs 15 crore home for the season. Dhoni happens to be the first Indian and foreign cricketer to take Rs 150 crores home through IPL.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the highest earner through IPL currently and he is taking home Rs 17 crores per season. He joined as the captain for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2014 and the team retained him again for the next season of IPL. Virat Kohli is behind MS Dhoni and he will be earning Rs 143.2 crores after including the payment for the year. Rohit Sharma is expected to earn Rs 146.6 crores in total through IPL. MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket but he wished to continue to play in IPL. He announced that he would stand as a support for Chennai Super Kings once he is done with playing cricket for the franchise.
