Assuring full support to the people of Telangana on the formation of separate state, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj demanded the UPA government to introduce the Telangana Bill in the monsoon of parliament.
Addressing the crowd at the ‘Telangana Poru’ public meeting at Karimnagar organized by her party on Tuesday, Sushma made it clear that her party will give the green signal for Telangana after coming to power at the Centre in 2014 if the congress government does not divide the state by then.
“I came here to announce our party’s full support to the people of Telangana on your demand for separate state. If the congress doesn’t give the separate state, we will give it after we come to power in the 2014 elections,” she said boosting up the morale of the pro-Telangana elements.
Sushma said Justice Sri Krishna Committee had given its report on Telangana acting like a congress leader and not as an impartial committee. “The committee had submitted its report suggesting some alternatives openly but covertly it had submitted a secret report saying that division of the state will increase the Naxal problem. It is shameful,” she said.
