Supreme Court On Uttarkhand Disaster

Supreme Court of India today ordered Central and Uttarkhand State Governments to take all necessary actions to rescue flood victims in the State.  The SC also indicated that required choppers should be pressed in to operation to evacuate the stranded people and re-habitation of the homeless should be undertaken effectively.

Supreme Court also ordered the Governments to submit a report by 25th June on the rescue and re-habitation activities taken up.

Jharkhand made a financial help of Rs.5.00 crores to Uttarakhand and previously UP Government contributed Rs.25.00 crores.  Two more rescue teams were sent from New Delhi to Uttarakhand.

So many pilgrims from many parts of Andhra Pradesh are feared missing and the couple of RCI Scientist Satyanarayana and his wife who reside at Karmanghat in Hyderabad are one of them.
