CLP okays merger, PRP becomes non-existent

The merger of the PRP with the Congress party has been formalized lock, stock and barrel today with the Congress legislature party formally accepting the merger of the PRP legislature party with it.

With this, PRP has become a thing of the past and becomes non-existent, according to congress leaders.

The congress MLAs had unanimously agreed for the PRP legislature party merger with theirs legalizing the merger in the assembly. As a party and out side of the assembly, the PRP had already merged with the congress.

Meanwhile, T congress MP Mr Ponnam Prabhakar raised the issue of Telangana in the legislature party meeting. He along with other MPs of the party attended the legislature party meeting at the invitation of the chief whip of the party.

Protesting against the mention of the Telangana issue by Ponnam Prabhakar, senior member Gade Venkata reddy walked out of the legislature party meeting.

Governor indisposed

Governor ESL Narasimhan has been slightly indisposed today and cancelled all his official programmes for the day. (JUBS)
