Dhoni's hometown Ranchi hasn't yet seen their idol play a T20 match before the home crowd. That will not be so anymore, as the cricketer is getting ready to play a T20 match in Ranchi for the first time.
The skipper wasn't able to play before the locals during the recent IPL as none of those matches were scheduled to be held in Jharkand. Chennai Super Kings were not able to play at Ranchi, but Dhoni will reportedly stay for the duration of the Champions League matches on behalf of CSK.
CSK will play against the Titans on 22nd September as part of the first match. JSCA official Manoj Kumar was quoted by NDTV sports as saying that the fans in Jharkhand can see Dhoni in T20 matches for the first time in Ranchi.
