Stress and strain is a part of life and the person who designs ways to controlling them will succeed. This is the foremost principle of any successful person across the globe. The renowned say, `Do not pray for a problem free life, but do pray for the strengths to withstand’. True each of us have our own way to unwind and in a recent interview given below a prominent personality shares her experiences and strategies to de-stress. In a nutshell she claims ` De-stress with a sports massage, twice a week.’

My personal de-stress mantra:  is getting massages. Since playing squash and going to gym is a part of my training programme, I need to do something different. And this comes in the form of getting a sports massage twice a week. Also, after a match, I get this massage done as it helps easing the tension in the muscles.

In my leisure time: I read, as I have been reading up a lot since the past one year. Currently I'm reading The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. I love reading sports biographies too and my favorites include Open by Andre Agassi and Every Second Counts by Lance Armstrong. Besides this, I'm a huge movie buff and like watching American TV shows too, and I also follow tennis in my free time.

A cook or a foodie: I'm a foodie who likes to experiment with different cuisines, Thai being my favorite. I'm a non-vegetarian but haven't eaten meat for the past six months. I like to cook and do so when I'm in Australia. I can cook curries and pastas. I don't follow a strict diet but like to eat healthy.

My hobbies: I barely get any time to pursue any hobbies, as I'm travelling most of the time. But when I return home to Chennai, I utilize that time to catch-up with family and friends. But yes, reading is a hobby that I managed to cultivate in recent times.

Homebody or party animal: A complete homebody, I prefer spending as much time as I can at home since I'm travelling most of the time.

Tips to de-stress: It depends on person to person. What I recommend is getting a massage, spending time at home than being out of home, going to the gym and practicing yoga. I practice yoga for about 45 minutes as often as I can, and it really helps.
