Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has pitched her voice up for her son Varun Gandhi and wished him to lead Uttar Pradesh, if BJP is voted to power in 2017. Maneka visited her Parliamentary constituency on Sunday and addressed the gathering. She said it would be better if Uttar Pradesh is governed by BJP and much better if Varun Gandhi is the chief minister.

BJP's UP chief Laxmikant Bajpai who is the first contenders for the CM post, commented that it is Maneka Gandhi's view. The party has nothing to do with it and nothing wrong in Maneka's statements. Varun Gandhi also stepped into action and said it is not my mother's stand, it is vivid media report. Elections in Uttar Pradesh are three years and BJP is doing all its efforts to get back in the state.
