Kavitha Urges For Women Reservation Bill:- On Tuesday, Telangana chief minister KCR’s daughter K Kavitha demanded the BJP-led NDA government to introduce the Women Reservation Bill in the coming parliament sessions. K Kavitha wrote to the 47 political parties including TDP, YSRCP, Jana Sena and others urging them to support the smooth discussions on the women reservation bill in the parliament.

Kavitha requested the parties to leave the political differences and asked to support the women's reservation bill. The bill is for 33 per cent of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women. She wrote, “The issue of representation of women in Parliament is of utmost importance and I request all political parties with folded hands to take up this issue and rise above political partisanship” . Kavitha also highlighted the proof of women who are active in public life and have the ability to lead the governance, yet still stay behind.

But there is a backlash coming out from some of the parties as his father’s BRS candidates list for the upcoming Telangana election has been released earlier and KCR has not given preference to women, sadly not even 10 per cent of the announced seats.

The allotted seat numbers for women in BRS party has immediately back lashed Kavitha’s demand for 33 per cent.

33 per cent reservation is a long-awaited bill for Kavitha.
