Revanth Reddy booked for his comments:- TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy was booked for making objectionable comments about police officers during his program at Gandhi Bhavan on August 14th.

Revanth Reddy along with other congress leaders was present at Gandhi Bhavan and addressed the media on Monday. He said he will strip and trash police officers who are supporting BRS leaders. He alleged that Mahabubnagar police officers are listed in a Red Diary and will throw them out in less than 100 days once Congress is in power. Sub-inspector Gonavardhan Patwar, a district police association president, felt that Revanth Reddy is threatening police officers for doing their duties as per law and order.

The comments had a widespread spread as his video went viral on social media. Gonavardhan Patwar lodged a complaint against Revanth Reddy and other congress leaders. Nagarkurnool police registered cases under IPC section 153 ( provocation to cause riot) and 504 (insulting to provoke). Bhootpur and Jadcherla Police also booked cases under 153, 504, 505 (2) and 506 sections of IPC against Reddy and others. More complaints were also lodged in Nirmal and Nizamabad districts. In total 17 cases were booked in the last 48 hours.

Congress leader was addressing the meeting where some of the BRS leaders from the Mahbubnagar district joined Congress.
