Red Alert in Telangana districts:- A weather broadcast has warned Telangana of heavy to very heavy rains with a wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph. Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamakonda and Jangaon are been on red alert. Even Karimnagar, Peddapallu, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Siddipet and Kamareddy districts will see heavy rainfall till Friday.

Several irrigation projects receiving heavy inflow and even the rains are lashing out. Officials have announced people to stay indoors and warned the downstream areas.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in Telangana for the next 24 hours. Hyderabad has seen heavy rains even yesterday. City traffic has been affected badly and affected the public.

While the rains have cheered some of them as the southwest monsoon has been delayed this time. Many are suffering to fulfil their day-to-day activities. Heavy rains are likely to occur more in deserted areas as per IMD forecast.

A cyclone lies over the northwest of the Bay of Bengal joining the Odisha and is pushing towards the south. Under its influence Hyderabad to see a have a cyclonic effect in the next 48 hours, that is to the northwest of the Bay of Bengal.
