Pakistan To Release 500 Indian Prisoners

Pakistan To Release 500 Indian Prisoners:- It is common between Pakistan and India to arrest their fishermen in international waters for violating the maritime boundary rules. Pakistani authorities have made it clear that they are going to release 500 Indian fishermen of which 499 have completed their jail terms. The first batch of 200 will be released on Thursday. Edi Foundation will bring the released prisoners from Lahore to the Wagah border where they will be handed covered to Indian authorities on Friday.

Out of 200 only 199 going to return to India as one of the fishermen died in jail. According to Pakistani officials, He complained of high fever and chest problems. Officials shifted him to the hospital and later he passed away due to a lung infection. Prisoners in Landhi and Malir jails cannot sustain with chronic health problems. Prisoners struggle to get regular treatment because of the conditions and the jail doctors will not have the necessary equipment to treat severely infectious patients.

Out of 634 Indian prisoners in Karachi Jails, 631 have completed their jail terms and waiting for their release. In 500, the second batch of 200 prisoners will be released on June 2nd and the third batch with 100 prisoners will be released on June 3rd.
