Mumbai Imposes 144 Section Till January 7th:- After the spread of the Omicron variant, the situations are quite alarming in Mumbai and New Delhi. The new cases have seen a huge rise and the governments responded swiftly. 144 section has been imposed in Mumbai starting from today and this would continue till January 7th in the capital of Maharashtra. All the New Year parties and celebrities are banned in public places, bars, pubs, resorts, clubs and hotels from today. Bandra Reclamation- Bandra Wonderland in Mumbai are closed till January 2nd. A total number of 2445 new cases are reported in Mumbai on Wednesday which clearly indicates about the situation of coronavirus in the city.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray will chair a meeting to discuss about the situation of Coronavirus in the state. The meeting will be held through a video conference. Closed halls and auditoriums outside Mumbai will be allowed to operate with 50 percent of the capacity. The total number of Omicron cases reported in Maharashtra reached 252. 144 Section is imposed strictly in Mumbai and the beaches, parks, marine drive will be strictly monitored. No gathering of more than give people are allowed from 9 PM to 6 AM. Movie theatres are asked to operate with 50 percent occupancy and 25 percent occupancy is allowed in sports and event ceremonies.

Mumbai reported 1333 cases on Tuesday and the number got doubled on Wednesday. The city reported 2445 new cases. Maharashtra reported 3900 new cases on Wednesday and the cases reported in the state on Tuesday are said to be 2172.
