Indian Railways To Resume 1700 Trains Post-Covid:- After back-to-back lockdowns and the pandemic, the public transport facilities came to a halt and their revenues are badly disrupted. Indian Railways is one of the most impacted public transports in the country. The Indian Railways has been running limited services after the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic with restricted travel. With the normalcy returning back all over, the Indian Railways decided to resume 1700 trains as per the reports from the Railways Ministry. All the passengers can reserve their tickets with confirmation or a waiting ticket soon. The reservations would be open and the Indian Railways will make an official announcement about the same very soon.

The statement told "The Ministry of Railways has decided that all the regular Time Tabled Trains which are presently operating as MSPC & HSP train services, included in the Working Time Table, 2021, shall be operated with regular numbers and with fare and categorization as applicable". There would be no difference in the fare for the booked tickets and the regular trains will run with normal pricing that will be available on the portal of the Indian Railways. The operations will take some time to resume due to the technical reasons and the Ministry asked the Indian Railways to restore the services at the earliest. All the arrangements for the same are being done currently.

There are 95 percent of the express trains operating and 25 percent of the trains are operated on the name of special trains.
