ED Issues Lookout Notices Against P Chidambaram:- Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram moved to Supreme Court requesting protection from the arrest. Special teams of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) reached his residence in relation with INX Media case. A team of four senior lawyers: Kapil Sibal, Vivek Tankha, Salman Khurshid and Dayan Krishnan are representing Chidambaram in Supreme Court. A lookout notice has been issued against Chidambaram already. Chidambaram's legal team challenged High Court's order which was out yesterday.

On Tuesday, Chidambaram's bail petition was rejected after which CBI and ED sent teams to arrest Chidambaram in INX Media case. Chidambaram's lawyers said that he is not interested to influence the witnesses or tamper the evidence. Chidambaram argued that he should be protected against arrest as he is not named in the FIR. He even said that the charges are baseless and there is political pressure in the case. Chidambaram said that he was summoned once by the CBI and all the questions are answered.

Chidambaram also reminded that he is a sitting Rajya Sabha MP and he has no plans to fly away from the country. He said that CBI and ED need not arrest him to question in relation with INX Media case. The Supreme Court now refused to pass the order about his arrest and the case will be put before the Chief Justice of India (CJI) to consider for urgent listing.
