New App Introduced In Kadapa To Rescue Gulf Victims:- The District Administration of Kadapa have introduced a new application “Bandam” to rescue victims, who are suffering in the hands of employers in the Gulf Countries.

The app was launched by District Collector T Baburao Naidu and SP Attada Babujee at the Collectorate in Kadapa on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that, about 60% of the individuals from the district have settled in various professionals in the Gulf countries. There are several instances of people being harassed by employers, stated Mr. Naidu.

He further lamented that they are not able to come back to India even as employers are keeping passports with them. The app will help track victims and rescue from the clutches of employers. It would be implemented with the coordination of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Revenue and Police departments, said Mr. Naidu.

For effective implementation of ‘Bandam’ app, the SHG women would be utilized. Naidu explaining about the functioning of the app said that SHG women working in villages will collect the information of villagers, who have migrated to Gulf countries and submit a detailed information about them to district administration.

The SHG women fill the proforma with personal details like name, address, name of the company, mobile and WhatsApp numbers, passport details, date of leaving the village and name of the agency which recruited them for abroad work.    

The administration will upload information in the database, after securing the details. The details will help to contact the victims through the internet and bring them back to India, the Collector said.
