Female Indian Techie, Son Brutally Murdered In The US

In another big tragic incident, an Indian woman and her seven-year-old son was found dead, under suspicious circumstances, in their residence, in Mappleset area, in New Jersey, US.

The victims were N Sasikala (40) and her son Anish Sai (7), the deceased woman’s family has alleged.

The bodies of the victims, were found in a pool of blood, by Narra Hanumantha Rao, Sasikala's husband, when he returned from work.

The family hails from the Thimmarajupalem village of Paruchuri Mandal, in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, and had moved to the United states.

Both the husband and wife are software professionals. Sasikala used to work from home.

The couple had been living in America for the last nine years, according to sources.

The investigation at the crime scene, reported that the women had been attacked with a knife as she received severe injuries on her throat. Hanumantha Rao immediately alerted local police.

Local police suspect it to be a case of murder and are on the lookout for unidentified assailants.

Member of Andhra Pradesh state legislative assembly of Prakasam district, Y Sambasiva Rao, spoke to members of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) over the phone, to gather more information about the incident.

The MLA claimed that initial information revealed, that the mother-son duo were strangulated to death.

Further details on this tragic incident are awaited.

This is the latest in a series of incidents involving Indian techies.

Earlier this year in February, Hyderabad’s 32-year old aeronautical engineer, Srinivas Kuchibhotla was killed when Adam W Purinton, who earlier served in the US navy, shot him in Olathe, Kansas, on February 23. Purinton allegedly yelled 'go back to your country' at the Indian and his friend, at a bar, before opening fire.

Before Srinivas’ death, Vamshi Reddy Mamidala, also from Telangana, was shot dead in Milpitas, California. Vamshi was shot on February 10 in a garage in his apartment building.

In early March, an Indian-origin store owner was shot dead outside his home in South Carolina and two days later, a Sikh man was non-fatally injured after being shot at in Kent, Washington.
