In MLC elections, the TDP party had to face an insult in the Telangana state by not winning the seat. But, a few of the TDP leaders are now alleging that, the result is due to the foul politics played by CM KCR, underground.
First of all, a key leader like Revanth Reddy’s arrest itself is a tight jolt to TDP, on the other hand, within few hours of the arrest, losing in the MLC elections is another jolt where, the party could not digest it. So, the party members are trying to do their best, to allege KCR, taking out some controversial points.
Errabelli demands CBI probe
The TDP party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that, KCR bribed 200 crores for securing extra MLAs for the MLC elections. He further demanded probe by Central Bureau of Investigation into all the transactions.
“How can a party which has a strength of 63 MLAs in the house, can win all the five seats contested,” Errabelli questioned.
He tried to divert the case of Revanth Reddy towards KCR, alleging that, Revanth Reddy had approached the court against the voting rights given to nominated Anglo-Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson. Therefore, it was Stephenson, who approached Revanth Reddy offering to vote for TDP candidate Vem Narender Reddy in the MLC elections. He alleged that Revanth Reddy was selectively picked by KCR to defame him and the party.
The allegations are not baseless!
The allegations of Errabelli cannot be dropped down completely as it is to be noted that, KCR recently hinted the media, that a surprise is waiting. The signal is regarding the winning of the extra seat in the MLC elections, the political analysts opined.
Before the declaration of the results, KCR’s confidence of the victory is paving the way to doubt on him that, he might have done some underground work. In fact, there is a news that KCR is making all special efforts to win the extra seat.
The total strength of MLAs who supported the TRS party during the MLC elections is 85. But this figure is very far away from the actual figure (TRS MLAs), that is 63. So, it can be said that, Errabelli allegations are not baseless and that is the reason for his demand to order a CBI probe into the issue.
Rivals of TDP made TRS win extra seat
Flipping the coin to the other side, it can be said that, it is due to the welfare programmes conducted by the TRS government, and the hardcore rivals of TDP made the extra MLAs to support the party. However, the reaction of KCR regarding the allegations is yet to be heard.
