Liquor issue takes toll on Mopidevi’s health

Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana seemed to have suffered from a health setback on Wednesday in the Secretariat. The Doctors within the complex attended on the Minister for BP. And recommended complete bed rest. The Minister who had for long entangled in the Liquor scam was very upset with the issue. His involvement had been further confirmed that he had settled disputes between liquor syndicates in Khammam district and accepted money for the same. The information was given by liquor syndicate leader from Khammam, Mr. Nunna Ramana, to the ACB in his confession.

The growing list of evidences made the Minister seek the audience of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. As per sources the Minister met the CM and had an argument over the issue. He is to have questioned, as to why he alone was targeted in the issue. Further he had also offered to resign if the party felt so. After the tensed argument Mr. Mopidevi si said to have suffered a set0back in health.
