Accusing KCR of doing business with the Telangana agitation, TDP Telangana Forum leader Mr Revanth Reddy said TRS president KCR has got the Polavaram Project tender finalized in his benami company name in return for calling off the mass general strike (Sakalajanula Samme).

Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad this afternoon, the TDP leader said that KCR has pledged the Telangana agitation for lapping up the tender of the Polavaram Project in the name of his benami.

“The tender was finalized in the name of SEW Infrastructure which was a major stake holder in the Namaste Telangana daily, a newspaper owned by KCR men,” said Revanth Reddy. “Are the agreements entered into with the powers that be in Delhi for calling off the strike during your recent trip meant for the Polavaram tenders only?” he asked KCR.

Revanth Reddy observed that with Polavaram project moving, the mass general strike has stopped. He charged KCR with misusing the agitation and pledging the lives and families of people who committed suicides for Telangana for his personal gains.

He warned KCR to stop playing with the agitation and playing with the lives of the Telangana people. “If you don’t stop this game, people will rebel against you,” he warned KCR.

The TDP leader said that it was unethical on part of KCR to have got the Polavaram tender finalized in his benami name after making bold announcements in the past that he would sacrifice even his life to stop the project.
