Osmania University students’ JAC today warned they will garland with chappals the Telangana MLAs, MLCs and MPs who do not resign their seats for the sake of Telangana irrespective of their political affiliations.
“We will not allow such people’s representatives to move in Telangana and lay siege to their houses,” said the students’ JAC in a statement.
The OU JAC said that the resignations could be a drama to mislead the people but still they welcome the step taken by the MLAs, MLCs and MPs of various parities for the sake of Telangana.
They served an ultimatum to the Centre that they would resort to an en masse fast-unto-death programme at the Arts College from July 11 onwards if no decision is announced on or before July 10 on the formation of Telangana state. “Thousands of students will participate in this programme,” they said.
“Either give us the Telangana or take our lives,” will be our slogan henceforth in carrying the agitation.
