An attention diversion gang, which has been robbing the gullible people of their hard earned money, struck today in a big way in Hyderabad.The gang members ran away with a whopping amount Rs.54 lakh belonging to the SBH in the busy Chikkadapalli area of the city after successfully diverting the attention of the security guards.
Police said that the gang members spread currency notes in front of the cash-carrying van at the SBH ATM for diverting the attention of the security guards who accompanied the cash in the vehicle.
While the security guards were busy collecting the notes in front of the vehicle, the miscreants made good their escape with the suitcases that contained Rs.54 lakh. The security guards, realizing that they were taken for a ride, lodged a police complaint.
