In what is seen as an exercise to cut the YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy to size, the Kirankumar reddy government has reportedly decided to order a review of all land allotments made by the late chief minister YSR to different companies and individuals in the name of SEZs.
It is now thought that most of the companies who got land allotments from the YSR regime, had in return favoured Jagan by transferring vast funds to the bank accounts of Jagan-owned fictitious companies.
In fact, YSR regime allotted 42 SEZs alone in the Ranga Reddy district as the prices of lands in and around Hyderabad had skyrocketed. Some of the companies were even allowed to do real estate business with the lands allotted for SEZs. In return Jagan got huge sums of funds to his bank accounts and companies.
The government’s plan is to recover those lands from the various companies after finding out the illegalities. It will help axe the financial stability of Jagan as companies benefited from YSR may demand their funds back from Jagan. Some how, Jagan will be cornered by those companies and surely he will find himself trapped in an awkward situation.
