YSR a traitor, sold Wakf lands to Lagadapati: KCR

Do we want dacoits' rule or the rule of traitors who looted properties and water of Telangana region? This was the primary question asked by TRS chief K Chandrashekara Rao. Apart from this question, there were a series of questions that allegedly took on the opposition parties especially late YS Rajashekara Reddy and his regime. He questioned the people of Telangana whether they want the rule of those who allegedly grabbed away Wakf lands. Further, he questioned if they (people) want such rule wherein IAS and ministers would be put behind the bars. It is known that a woman bureaucrat and an ex minister ended up behind the bars in connection with controversial GO s, which were released during YSR regime.

KCR, who addressed a large number of gathering at a public meeting in Suryapeta on Sunday, called upon public to think whether they want Telangana state or that rule wherein bread and butter of Telangana people would be grabbed away.  KCR made it clear that we (people of Telangana region) need Telangana rule but not the rule of Chandranna or Rajanna. He questioned whether they (opposition leaders) were Gandharva, Kinnera, Kimpurushas (the holy figures in Hindu mythology who dwell in a higher plane).

Stressing about YSR regime, K  Chandrashekara Rao said didn't people witness the rule of YSR. YSR was a decoit who looted water of Nalgonda and Palamuru from Pothireddy Padu project, said KCR. He even said that it was YSR who constructed Pulichintala project against the wishes of Telangana by deploying heavy security forces. Polavaram, Pothireddy Padu and Pulichintala were the results of YSR rule.

During the regime of YSR 10,000 farmers and 500 handloom weavers committed suicide, alleged KCR. He said SLBC, Kalwakurthy and other projects were shut down. Not even one project in Telangana region was completed, he added.  He even questioned was it not YSR who kept wakf lands for sale. He lashed out at YSR alleging that wakf lands, which were supposed to be allotted to Muslims brothers for their welfare did business with those lands and sold them to Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal. Further he said, YSR gave Obalapuram mines to his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Bayyaram mines to his daughter Sharmila.  Also, he questioned whether in the history of Andhra Pradesh so many ministers and IAS officers were kept behind bars.  He said all this happened because of Jagan and will it be appropriate to welcome the same rule.

Reacting on the statements of YS Vijayamma, KCR said Vijayamma was questioning that her son Jagan was put in prison with conspiracy and questioned as to who were conducting probing illegal assets case. KCR all in all called upon people to work towards bringing Telangana rule so that people of Telangana would not be deprived of water and bread.

Good offer to Congress:

KCR said he went to Delhi recently after he got a call from bigwigs of Congress in Delhi. Despite having no faith, he still went to Delhi, he said. KCR stressed he gave an amazing offer to Congress party that he would merge TRS with Congress in case they promise to carve out Telangana state. He further expressed his anguish that Congress didn't give any response even after his offer.  KCR later demanded that Rs. 100 crore should be allotted for Kakatiya celebrations as Rs. 140 crore was allotted for Chittoor celebrations.
