Obeying the order of the Supreme Court, Congress leader and former AP Governor ND Tiwari has finally  gave his blood sample for DNA test in a paternity suit filed by 32-year-old Rohit. The latter claimed that Narayan Dutt Tiwari was his father. He even produced a few photographs of ND Tiwari at his home. The petitioner Rohit and his mother Ujjwala Sharma were present when blood sample was taken at ND Tiwari’s residence in Forest Research Institute campus at Dehradun.

It took four hours to collect the blood sample and seal it. The sealed blood sample was handed over to Joint Registrar of Delhi High Court, R Gopalan. When Delhi High Court directed ND Tiwari to give blood sample, the veteran Congress leader appealed against the order in Supreme Court. The apex court, however, turned down the plea of ND Tiwari on May 24, which stated that he was too old to give blood sample.

Meanwhile, Shekhar who filed the petition has said that he would now get the justice as the blood sample was submitted.
