In Las Vegas, Nevada, during a press event forĀ CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2016, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on January 4, Sphero's BB-8 technical prototype with Force Band is displayed.

In the film, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", Sphero partnered with Lucasfilm to build the USD 150, app-enabled toy from the droid character. It can be controlled using Bluetooth by a smartphone or the Force Band and features gesture-based technology enabling users to control it with Jedi-like movements.

In the same event, Francesca Dubsky displays the bottom side of the Hairmax LaserBand 82. The USD 795 unit, designed by Pinin Farina, uses 90-second treatments of red laser light at 655 nanometers to grow hair by increasing blood flow to the scalp and stimulating hair follicles.

Mark Fields, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company holds the Velodyne Solid State Hybrid Ultra Puck Auto LiDAR Sensor, that is being used in Ford's autonomous-vehicle plans, as he speaks in the press event.

ON January 5th held press event, Christiano Ronaldo's ROC Live Life Loud's Roc Sport Backfloat portable, wireless waterproof speaker that floats, by Monster Inc., is displayed.

During a Monster Inc. press event, SuperStar Monster Blaster portable Bluetooth boom box is displayed. The unit features indoor and outdoor EQ modes and has a lithium battery, capable of up to 8 hours of playtime, instead of requiring 'D' cell batteries.

WowWee's CHiP robot dog is displayed in the event held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on January 4th, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The specialty of USD 199 Bluetooth smartphone-controlled robot is that, it can recognize its owner and when it loses power, it goes back to its charging station, slide sideways and play fetch.
