The director of Ranbir - Deepika's fourth coming film, 'Ye jawaani hai diwaani', Ayan Mukherjee appears to be a really tough director. The guy is okay to go to whatever extent to get the best shot. It was when the team was shooting in Kashmir, Ayan picked up the locations where the temperature would always be minus 10. Now, apart from the unit members, even the star cast of the film Ranbir, Deepika, Kalki and Aditya Roy Kapoor had to face a tough time shooting in that location, bearing that cold.

It is not that the actors are not used to extreme climatic conditions but the thundering cold in the peak of the season is what bothered the star cast of the film. As per the sources, the producer of the film, Karan Johar has given a free hand to the director right from scripting to choosing the locations.
