Why Heroine movie fails to win people's hearts

Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine has failed to impress the audience at theaters with only a 25 crore collection after a week of the movie's release while other movies like Barfi which has released only a week prior to this movie has broken several records. We have analysed why Madhur Bhandarkar's version of the Dirty Picture has failed at the screens.

First of all, the concept of the movie is not new. The dirty picture already showed the generalized version of the life behind the screens and the loathesome aspects of a heroine's life. We expected a lot more from a director like Madhur Bhandarkar of Chandini Bar's fame. His movies like Page 3 have kept the audience waiting for a sound film and not just a few raunchy scenes without any logic.

There were glaring loopholes in the movie and we don't even need to mention them since most of them are very obvious while a few also managed to confuse the audience. As a director, Madhur Bhandarkar has failed with such a fallacious plot.

Bhandarkar has tried to garner false attention by claiming that Kareena's performance was award winning but reality begged to differ. The Glam-sham, glitzy, stylish actor did perform well but in my humble opinion, this performance from Saif Ali Khan's better half, almost, is not worth a National Award. After a point you get bored to see Kareena crying her eyes out in almost every scene.

A movie is a comprehensive coverage of details in the plot, not as comprehensive as a novel but definitely to a good extent. Heroine's movie has completely missed this point. Other actors like Randeep Hooda and Arjun Rampal despite his poor performance have been neglected completely but for the most essential times in the plot.

Madhur Bhandarkar should probably write stories that make more sense and not run-out-of-the-mill stories of which audience already had enough. No offense Madhur and Kareena.
