Mugamoodi-efforts behind the screen

The much awaited super film, Mugamoodi has finally hit the theatres and received good response from the public. Jiiva plays a super hero in the film, who becomes vigilante and wears a mask  in order to save people in danger—and all this to impress his girl fried. While he impresses and makes his dream girl fall in love with him forms the remaining part of the story, the main thing that should be noticed when we talk of Mugamoodi is the costume of the protagonist, which gave a feel that he was a superman whenever he draped in that suit. And never be in an impression that this dress was made overnight. Hell lots of work went into the dressing part before the team coming out with a final outfit that suits best to Jiiva and the character he played. Want to know what were all those efforts? Why start googling...Tamil Wishesh is here to bring all those behind screen efforts before you! Just take a look.

Dozen suits and thirty masks—yes, literally so many outfits were tried on Jiiva before the actual one was picked up by the director in coordination with the costume designer. In fact, Jiiva went to Hong Kong only for this purpose. On the foreign land he had undergone body head mold session for about eight hours in order to design a perfect mask. And guess how many months it took for the costume designer Gabriella to complete the mask? Not a just a week of two guys!!! Absolutely six months...and after so much of effort mask, cap, belt and suit were ready.

Mugamoodi has been released across the globe today. The Telugu version—Mask was also released today. This film was directed by Shanmugha Raja (also known as Mysskin). The music was scored by Krishnakumar (popularly known as K). Film critics opined that although the concept of a street guy turning into a vigilante was nothing new, the acting, directing and screenplay would apparently make the difference.
