Jiiva starrer Mugamoodi is all set for a grand release today across the state. The expectations are literally high from this movie given that the first look of the film, which shows Jiva wearing a mask and a costume similar to Superman. Pooja Hegde, who plays the female lead in the movie, is the debutant actress.  This movie will be released in Telugu version as Mask. The film was directed by Shanmugha Raja.

The story of Mask revolves around a normal person (who loafs around in street) who becomes a vigilante (to save people in danger) in order to impress his dream girl. Although the story is somewhat similar to Superman or Spiderman or Krish, the main difference between Mask and those films is that the protagonist will not have any supernatural powers.  Since he masters the martial arts, with the help of them, he will face the antagonists in the movie. The protagonist uses Kungfu and Wing Chun to defeat the opponents.

The film critics said that the concept was apparently inspired by Hollywood's Kick Ass wherein the protagonist in that film too has no supernatural powers but rescues people with his martial arts. It has to be mentioned her that Jiva suits best to the role since he was trained in Kungfu for about seven years.
