Shekar kammula is one of the sensible Directors of Telugu Cinema. It is known that Intelligent audience prefer watching Shekar’s films. We come to hear that he has been invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival on behalf of National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
6 Indian film makers, including Shekar Kammula are going to attend this festival. Anurag Kashyap (Dev D Gulal), Dibakar Banarjee (Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Love Sex Aur Dokha), Anusha Rizvi (Peepli Live), Laximikant Shetgaonkar (Paltadacho Munis), and Haobam Paban Kumar (AFSPA 1958) and Shekar Kammula will attend the festival. Telugu Industry has to be proud as Shekar kammula is the only Telugu Director amongst the rest.
Technically, this is the First time that NFDC is promoting Indian Directors. Otherwise, till date, we saw mainly Aishwarya Rai Bacchan in Cannes and no other Indian celeb would attend the Festival.
This year, the Festival is from May 11th to 22nd. Hundreds of celebs from Movie World will be attending this festival.
It feels good when our favorite film makers get recognized at the International Level.
