Rana upsets Chiru's fans

Rana Daggubati, who appeared in five films for now, couldn't succeed commercially so far. When asked about the same Rana came out with interesting and also irking comparisons. He questioned whether anyone would guarantee that every film would be a blockbuster. Obviously every film cannot be a blockbuster but that doesn't mean that every film bombs at the office. Anyway, Rana didn't stop with that statement. He went ahead and made some disappointing statement. He allegedly dragged megastar Chiranjeevi's name into the picture. He said Chiranjeevi did 150 films so far out of which only 40 were blockbuster hits. Further he said he would sign a movie to learn from it and not to calculate how much it would collect in terms of money. Well, the last point might sound it has merit but talking on Chiranjeevi and his films was obviously not appropriate, said observers.

If we look at facts...

  • Chiranjeevi entered reel world in the year 1978 with Punaadhirallu-first blockbuster hit

  • Chiranjeevi's third film was Punnaminagu, which was released in 1980-second blockbuster hit

  • Chiranjeevi's sixth film was Intlo Ramaiah Veedilo Krishnaiah (1982)-third blockbuster hit

  • Rana, on the other hand, managed to bag five films in two years-Leader (2010), Dum Maaro Dum (2011), Nenu Naa Rakshasi (2011), Naa Ishtam (2012), Department (2012).

Chiranjeevi acted in just three films in first two years while the number is five when it comes to Rana. But in those three films (within two years), Chiranjeevi bagged three blockbuster hits while Rana didn't even manage to draw a blockbuster hit. Punnaminaagu obviously contained good content and more than content it was Chiranjeevi's acting, which made people throng the theatres. Chiranjeevi then didn't have any stardom nor backed by any film personality. There was no media to give hype too. It was merely his talent that helped him become the megastar of the industry. Personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan today hail Chiranjeevi.

Rana should now at least realize the facts relating to Chiranjeevi. He might have received flops, but many of the hits he received were during his initial years of film career.
