Google Has a New Feature to Stay Safe While Traveling in a Cab:- Google Maps introduced a new feature in India when the commuters are traveling in a cab. A safety feature has been launched that will alert the users if the vehicle is moving in a wrong or a longer route. The feature alerts the travelers when the vehicle deviates more than 0.5 kms from the original route that is suggested by the Google Maps. The feature is available on Android platforms. Google Maps allows you to select 'Stay Safer' option once you start the route and 'Get off-route alerts' will be displayed at the bottom of the screen in the app.

Google Maps will buzz notifications when the driver deviates the route for more than half a kilometer. Google Maps also allows you to choose or share your live trip with friends and family members directly. Appropriate action can be taken and Google Maps specially designed these features for Indian customers. A test has been conducted after which it has been launched in the country. Google Maps also launched three public transport features including live train status, bus status and get mixed mode suggestions for public transport.
