The seventh edition of Indian Premiere League [IPL] was made official in Chennai today afternoon. IPL Governing Council met this today to finalized the schedule of matches in UAE, which will host the IPL for the first time.

Mumbai Indians will be taking on Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. About 20 matches will be played in three stadiums from April 16th to 30th. The Sheikh Zayed Stadium Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai will host all the games.

BCCI wants to bring back the IPL to India after April 30th and so hasn't announced the remaining 40 matches schedule. A decision on this schedule is expected to arrive by the last week of April depending upon the government decision to provide security.
