IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings Out of IPL After Eighth Loss:- Chennai Super Kings who performed exceptionally well in all the seasons of IPL have lost form and lost in most of the matches of IPL 2020. With eight defeats, Chennai Super Kings are on the rock bottom in the points table. Their pathetic performance continued and they lost by ten wickets to Mumbai Indians which never happened for Chennai Super Kings in their IPL career. The team's captain MS Dhoni admitted that his side failed to perform right from the second game. With this defeat, Chennai Super Kings are almost out of IPL playoffs and they have six points from their 11 matches played. Dhoni said that this is not their year as things are extremely going wrong. Mumbai Indians won the toss and they elected to bowl first.

Chennai Super Kings scored 114 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Sam Curran (52) was the only decent scorer for Chennai Super Kings. Trent Boult registered his best figures of 4/18 in his four overs. Rahul Chahar (2/22) was decent along with Jasprit Bumrah (2/25) for Mumbai Indians. Chasing a total of 120, Mumbai Indians registered a comfortable victory without losing a single wicket. Ishan Kishan (68 not out) and Quinton de Kock (46 not out) made things easier for Mumbai Indians. They completed the chase in 12.2 overs with ten wickets left. Trent Boult has been named as the Player of the Match. With this victory, Mumbai Indians are now on the top of the points table with 14 points. Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Banglore and Kolkata Knight Riders are in the top four.
