The head of SCE computer entertainment division prominently stated on Tuesday that Sony has had beyond 1 million preorders worldwide for its new PlayStation 4 console.

SCE chief executive Andrew House added that the console will be available from Nov 15 in North America at the same time will be hitting stores in Europe from Nov 29.

He said at a news conference on the sidelines of Gamescom, Europe's biggest videogames fair,  that the response they have received is nothing short of incredible. Interestingly, the console will be available in 32 countries worldwide during the holiday season.
