Microsoft to release update for Windows 8

Windows 8 had been one operating system that was hyped up beyond what it could really do. The platform that promised an interface and applications that would bridge the gap between mobile plaforms and computers couldn't do much in fact. This resulted in tepid and unattractive sales.

The alien interface that managed to please few to none would now receive a few major tweaks to make it more user-friendly in an update called Windows Blue. This would be a free update to those already using Windows 8 platform.

Microsoft plans on releasing continual updates to their OS to ensure that the experience of their OS is richer than ever.

On June 26th, at the same time as the Microsoft Developer Conference in San Francisco, Windows 8.1 would be available as an update to the customers.

Microsoft had no choice but to act after a poor response from the customers to the windows who have been reporting several problems. The desktop designs have been changed radically. Will the update make Windows 8 a better platform? We have to wait and see!
