Micromax launches Canvas 3D for Rs 9,999

There are several mobile makers churning out phones that are big and fast but Micromax has stepped up its game by bringing out something very different and better on paper than most other phones in its segment, a Stereoscopic 3D phone.

It means that you need not put on your glasses to experience 3D. The device was released at Rs 9,999 price tag. Let us check out if this is the phone you have been longing for.

Performance wise, it has the substandard performance 1 Ghz dual-core processor but you cannot ask for more in this price range. A 5 inch display could be a deal-winner with the 3D component. Extendable storage on the A115, the model number for the Micromax Canvas 3D, supports 32GB microSD card ensuring that you never run out of space.  Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is the welcome addition.

A 5MP camera has poor performance. The features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB are all standard for the phones in the range. With a large battery of 2,000mAh, the phone is expected to last until the end of the day at least.

A special application Micromax 3D Space provides access to several 3D videos and games. With only ther option of LG Optimus 3D, priced at Rs 26,400, available to compete, Micromax definitely wins the round. But if you are not specific about the 3D as much, you are better off with different models with Quad-Core engines from the same maker.
