Cheaper iPhone at $300?

iPhone 5 has been a premium product that has failed to reach several of the fanboys due to the gouging prices leaving them desiring for a phone in their budget range. Rumors had been rife ever since the release of the iPhone 5, that there would be a lower-cost iPhone model that would be released.

Tactus, a case manufacturer, has leaked the pictures of the rear casing of the highly awaited cheaper version of the iPhone. A white model on display appears to be made out of plastic and yet is not very cheap to look at. Plastic polycarbonate material hints at multiple colors like the iPod Touch being available soon. Tactus confirms the same saying that the phone will be releasing in Black, White, Blue, Red and Yellow colours, giving the details of the factory where the phone is being produced.

The cheaper iPhone will measure around 120mm x 62-65mm x 9mm making it taller and wider than the iPhone 4 and 4S. We may not be able to say if the information is genuine or not for sure but they do look deceptively close to the expectations for a cheaper model.

Making readers more skeptical, the writer has mentioned that the phone will have an A5 chip like the iPad Mini, 3.5 inch retina screen, and a 5 MP rear camera. The purported sale date is October 15th at a price of $300. That is too specific information for a mobile from Apple which keeps things undecided until the final moments. But if rumors are to be believed, Apple definitely will find more takers.
