iLounge on Thursday puts surfers gazing at the release of its mockups. According to the site’s own unnamed sources the mockup throws up the next possible design of the iPhone. The basic difference between the present iPhone 4s and the future version as predicted is the in its appearance. A metal back, a smaller dock connector, a 20 percent decrease in thickness, and a longer 4-inch display could be the salient features of the newer version. Experts feel that whether the predictions are accurate or not, the looks are gorgeous and the features are sensible.

The sensible argument is that the iPhone which has never treaded above the 3.5 display, will it take the newer predictions. Yes say the experts as the newer version has to incorporate LTE radios which need wider space unlike their present counterparts the 3G radios. This obviously will increase the casing size and proportionally the screen size. An iPhone is a densely packed sandwich of silicon, radios, flash storage, motors and cameras. Over the past five generations, Apple has packed in everything that makes up an iPhone about as densely as possible, and the battery still makes up the bulk of every device.

Though only Apple makes the final say on the issue, for the time being the argument of iLounge seems to hold good and would make most of us happy over the advanced features.
