Netherlands in final of FIFA Cup

After 32 years, the Netherlands has entered the world cup football final FIFA 2010 defeating the two time winners Uruguay 3-2 in a semi final held at the Cape Town on Tuesday. In 1978, the Netherlands lost to Argentina in the world cup final and this time it hopes to capture the cup.

The Dutch team will take on in the final with the winning team in another semi final taking place between Spain and Germany on Wednesday.

Dutch players Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben scored a goal each with in a short span of 3 minutes to send Uruguay packing home.  

The final match will be held at Soccer City in Johannesburg on the coming Sunday
Meanwhile, the Dutch newspapers hailed in bold orange letters the country’s achievement with full enthusiasm.  

"FINALS!" screams the front page of the popular Telegraaf daily with a picture of a roaring lion, the Dutch national symbol, and a half-page action shot of the third goal scored by winger Arjen Robben.( submitted on 07-07-2010)
