IPL 2021: Rohit Sharma fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate:- Rohit Sharma, the captain for Mumbai Indians was fined Rs 12 lakhs for the slow over-rate during their six-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals yesterday. The match took place in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Earlier to this, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was fined for his slow over-rate in IPL 2021. IPL said in a statement about the fine imposed on Rohit Sharma. The fine would be doubled if the slow over-rate is repeated by Rohit Sharma in the upcoming matches. Along with the captain, the entire team players will be fined 25 percent of the match fee in the upcoming matches. If the same offense is repeated for the third time, the captain will face one match ban and will be fined Rs 30 lakhs. KCR's health remains stable, recovering well:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is tested positive for coronavirus recently and he is currently in home isolation in his Eravelli farmhouse. The top politician is recovering well and a team of expert doctors are monitoring his health. A chopper is kept at his farmhouse to fly to the city in case of any medical emergency. TRS leaders, ministers and supporters offered special prayers for the speedy recovery of KCR. The doctors said that the health condition of KCR remained stable on Tuesday and he underwent an RT-PCR test yesterday and the result was positive. The doctors advised home isolation for KCR for nine days. Special arrangements are made to shift KCR to Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda if there is any need. KCR as of now has mild symptoms of coronavirus and is out of danger. Special pujas are performed at Yadadri, Kondagattu and Vemulavada temples yesterday. Home minister Mohd Mahmood Ali visited the Yusufain dargah in Nampally to offer special prayers and for the speedy recovery of KCR. Several politicians and celebrities wished a speedy recovery for KCR. A total number of 6542 cases are reported in the state in the last 24 hours as per the report that is released today morning. The number of total positive cases for coronavirus are said to be 3.67 lakhs and the death toll reached 1876 with 20 new deaths reported today. 898 new cases are reported in the limits of GHMC. The total number of recoveries in Telangana are said to be 3.19 lakhs. The active cases of coronavirus climbed to 476,488. More than 1.30 lakh samples are tested in Telangana yesterday. A special peppy mass number was canned in a special colourful set that is erected near the beach in Vizag. The song was canned on Sharwanand and Jagapathi Babu recently for a week. Jagapathi Babu plays a fan of veteran actress Rambha in the film. Special cutouts and pictures of Rambha will appear in the song. The makers also informed the actress and took her permission for the same before filming this special number. The shoot of Maha Samudram reached the final stages and is announced for August 19th release. Aditi Rao Hydari and Anu Emmanuel are the heroines in Maha Samudram. Chaitan Bharadwaj is the music director and Anil Sunkara's AK Entertainments are the producers. Sharwanand has been struggling for success from the past couple of years and all his recent films ended up as duds. There are talks that the country would head for a lockdown but the Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinted that there would be no second lockdown in the country and he urged the people to be cautious and careful. He also asked the states to take their individual calls on the lockdown or night curfew. The government of Andhra Pradesh announced 50 percent occupancy in the state but there are no traces of night curfew or lockdown in Andhra Pradesh. Narendra Modi addressed the country in the night and he issued a clarification that there is no chance or option of a second lockdown in the country. He urged the people to be extra cautious and safe enough to avoid the second lockdown in the country. The active cases climbed from 2 lakhs to 20 lakhs in no time. Modi said that the Centre is trying hard to meet the demand of oxygen and the hospital beds across the country. Modi also said that the lockdown should be the last option for every state. Modi announced no relief packages for migrant workers and small traders. "Focus more on micro containment zones rather than a lockdown. I urge the states to consider lockdown as the last option. Youth should form small committees and help the coronavirus administration in their areas. India is the fastest to vaccinate the people across the world. Till date, we have administered 12 crore vaccination doses and from May 1st, all the people above the age of 18 years can get vaccinated. We are working hard to increase the number of beds in all the hospitals. There are several large hospitals built currently to accomodate the beds. India is currently in the toughest phase and the second wave of coronavirus is making us sleepless. We can overcome this with courage and preparation. We are going through so much pain and several people lost their loved ones during pandemic time" told Narendra Modi.

The total number of recoveries in the country reached 1,31,08,582 and the death toll stands at 1,80,530. 1,54,761 people got discharged in India in total in the last one day. The total death toll in the country now reached 1,80,530 and there are 20,31,977 active cases of coronavirus in the country as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. A total number of 12,71,29,113 took up coronavirus vaccination in the country. Several states imposed lockdown in the nights. Indian Railways kept 100 coaches with 160 beds each in Banaras, Bhashai and Faizabad to use them as coronavirus hospitals considering the spread of coronavirus.
