BSE downfall raises concern

The BSE Sensex fell for a third consecutive session on Wednesday, to mark its lowest close in almost two weeks after Larsen & Toubro slumped around 6 per cent after its order book guidance sparked worries about the health of the domestic economy.

Larsen and Toubro ended down 5.71 per cent, its biggest daily percentage fall since January 2010. Other blue-chips also fell, with Reliance Industries ending down 1.2 per cent.

The BSE Sensex fell 49 points to close at 20,062, while the Nifty ended at 6,094, down 20 points.
