KFA to meet DGCA for revival

Kingfisher Airlines was grounded several months ago and it has been on a mission to revive its flying licence and get going again but all their attempts have been in vain as of today. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has not pay heed to their requests after defaulting on loans and salaries apart from being unable to run flights as scheduled. Today, they will meet again where Vijay Mallya will attempt to please the authorities at the DGCA to regain the suspended license and revive the now defunct airline.

If Mallya has a strong plan that is well chalked out to show the operation for the moths to come, he might stand a chance. It is also expected that the chairman of KFA himself will talk to DGCA in person, indicating his willingness.

However, there is a Rs 7000 cr onus of debt on his shoulders weighing him down. Salaries were not being paid to the employees since more than 10 months now. Investors have backed out from their plans and there are no funds left with the airlines.

After saying that they would get back the fleet on the runways starting with seven this March, which already passed now, and then extend to 20. Neither has materialized. A few of the people who lend the flights have called back their flights too.

Expecting a positive response, the equity market for KFA has seen improvement in figures.
