KCR takes a dig on Centre and BJP:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is quite aggressive with his election campaign. He is on a daily tour covering various constituencies. His son KTR yesterday announced that BRS will emerge victorious in more than 100 constituencies of Telangana. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his visit to Hyderabad and he participated in BC Athma Gaurava Sabha yesterday. KCR took a dig on the Centre and the leading BJP for ignoring Telangana over these years. He said that Narendra Modi and BJP are keen to privatise Singareni Collieries Company Pvt Ltd. He made these statements during his public meeting in Chennur's Mandamarri constituency.
"The Centre and the Modi government has privatized several public sector undertakings over these years including the airports, railways and others. Why should a coal company be privatized and Singareni is providing direct and indirect employment for lakhs of people of the state. BJP is in plans to auction the two coal blocks of Telangana and our MPs opposed the move. Mandamarri is the coal belt of Telangana. Congress government is responsible for offering 49 percent stake to the state from Singareni. The profit is now up to Rs 2184 crores and it is the government of Telangana which is offering bonus for the Singareni workers every year. The people have to teach a lesson for the leaders of BJP and Congress" told KCR.
