Monkeypox found in semen and is sexually transmitted:- Monkeypox is a rare disease that is shaking the African countries and USA. Monkeypox is found in the seminal fluid and the recent studies confirmed the news. The World Health Organization (WHO) recently confirmed that Monkeypox is spreading through sexual contact through the genital or the peri-anal rashes that are traced in most of the cases. The study was published on June 2nd, 2022 in the European journal Eurosurveillance which is a research magazine done on infectious disease and surveillance. The study was conducted on four cases of Monkeypox that is found in Italy which involved four homosexual men in 30s. All the four men had a history of sexually transmitted infections and two among them are HIV positive.

The new cases of Monkeypox have seen a huge rise all over. These cases are mostly found in men who have sex with other men. Monkeypox can be classified as an STI. These findings cannot be considered as a definitive evidence and the transmission cannot be ruled out. David Heymann, former head of WHO’s emergency department said that there is a need to understand all the means of transmission. A large number of monkeypox cases are traced, most of them are found in bisexual men and gays. African people are more susceptible for this virus told the study. Matthew Kavanagh, the deputy executive director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV told that the stigmatizing rhetoric can disable the evidence-based response.
