First Monkeypox Cases Reported In Telangana

First Monkeypox Cases Reported In Telangana:- The monkeypox scare reached the country and three cases are reported in Kerala. The Centre alerted all the states and asked the state governments to keep a thorough track on the international passengers reaching the country. Thermal scanners are arranged in all the international airports of the country. The first suspected monkeypox case has been reported in Telangana's Kamareddy on Sunday. The patient returned from Kuwait earlier this month and he is shifted to an isolation ward that is arranged for monkeypox patients. An isolation ward is arranged in Fever Hospital in Nallakunta in Hyderabad.

The patient has six close contacts but none of them had any symptoms of monkeypox. The officials traced all his close contacts and conducted tests for them after this patient is detected with monkeypox. Dr G Srinivasa Rao, the Director of Public Health released a statement saying that the patient is a 40-year-old man and he hails from Indiranagar Colony in Kamareddy district. He returned back from Kuwait on July 6th and he is suffering with fever since July 20th. The patient has rashes on his skin on July 23rd after which he visited a private hospital in Kamareddy. The Health officials shifted him to Hyderabad and is kept in an isolation ward. The Health Department issued a statement that the situation is completely under control.
