AP Government Starts Plasma Donation Program:- The government of Andhra Pradesh is trying hard to battle coronavirus and Andhra Pradesh is the second most impacted state due to coronavirus in the country after Maharashtra. AP government launched a program of plasma donation through which the government will offer Rs 5000 to the plasma donor. This campaign will help several people who are battling with coronavirus recover from the disease. The Health Department of Andhra Pradesh is conducting close to Rs 70,000 tests per day and 10,000 new cases are registered on a regular basis in Andhra Pradesh.

The Health officials are preparing the eligible donor database list. These details would be shared with the blood banks who can take the plasma and store it in their labs. As per the current records, more than 37,000 people are eligible to donate plasma in Andhra Pradesh. The call center of the Health Department of Andhra Pradesh will approach the recovered patients of coronavirus and they will explain about the importance of plasma donation. The plasma donation process would treat the coronavirus patients more effectively. The government of Andhra Pradesh is spending Rs 15 crores on a regular basis for the coronavirus tests, treating the patients and providing the food and accommodation.

The detailed report about the current coronavirus situation is submitted to the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on a regular basis. YS Jagan appreciated the efforts of the health officials for their efforts. The total tally of coronavirus cases crossed 5 lakh mark in Andhra Pradesh.
