Lalu Prasad Yadav Denied Bail By Supreme Court:- The Supreme Court today dismissed the bail petition of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the multi-crore fodder scam. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said that it is not inclined to grant bail for Lalu Prasad Yadav. Lalu Prasad Yadav's arguments about spending in jail for 24 months has been rejected and the court revealed that 24 months is nothing when compared to 14 years. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal is debating for Lalu Prasad Yadav and he said that there were no recoveries. The Supreme Court said that the merits of the case will be decided by the High Court.

The court clarified that they took a call on bail plea alone now. The CBI opposed the bail petition of Lalu Prasad Yadav after they explained that Lalu Prasad Yadav will make his impact in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. He has been in hospital from the last eight months on medical grounds. The CBI even accused that Lalu Prasad Yadav is undertaking the political activities from a Ranchi hospital. Top leaders like  Ahmed Patel, D Raja, Derek O’ Brien, Sharad Yadav and Hemant Soren met him in the hospital recently. Lalu has been the main accused in Rs 139.45 crore fodder scam in Bihar.
