How Kerala Is Planning To Dispose Tonnes Of E-Waste:- Kerala has been shattered with floods completely and the left the state in deep pain. Lakhs of people turned homeless and several villages have been washed out. Days after being badly hit, the people are returning back to their houses. Clothes, utensils and furniture will make no space any more in their houses. Tonnes of trash has been lying in front of every house and at the street corners. One of the biggest challenge for the officials is the problem of the waste.
Most of the damaged electronic gadgets contain harmful toxic chemicals and if they are not disposed properly, it turns out to be a threat for the environment. The Kerala Government is in plans to set up collection points to collect the e-wastes. An established agency stepped out to collect the e-waste and they will be recycled. All the district collectors have been informed about this and necessary actions are being taken. These collection points will not only collect e-waste but they will collect all non-biodegradable items.
