Nara Lokesh Stammers During Oath Taking As MLC

Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son, Nara Lokesh, stammered a little, during his oath taking ceremony as MLC, yesterday.

This has indeed, caused some tongues to wag regarding his capability of his mother tongue.

Lokesh later attended the Legislative Council, along with other elected MLCs. The other MLCs, were sworn in the Council Hall, while Lokesh took the oath in the Legislative Council Chairman’s chamber.

In the presence of his father-in-law N. Balakrishna, some ministers, Telugu Desam MLAs and other senior leaders, Nara Lokesh was sworn in at 9:45 a.m.

The awkward situation arouse, when Lokesh stopped while pronouncing the words, “Sarvabhoumadhikaram” and “Sraddasaktulu”.

He, however, finally completed the oath-taking.

Mr. Balakrishna, after the oath taking ceremony, hugged Lokesh and blessed him.

Chandrababu Naidu, offered his blessings even.

The other newly-elected members who took the oath in the Council Hall were Karanam Balarama Krishna Murthy, Dokka Manikya Varaprasad, Batchula Arjunudu, M. Ravindranatha Reddy, G. Deepak Reddy, Pothula Sunita of the TD, P.V.N. Madhav of the BJP, K. Narasimha Reddy and Y. Srinivasulu Reddy of the Progressive Democratic Front.

Earlier, Mr. Lokesh, at the party’s state office in Guntur, offered homage to the Telugu Desam party (TDP), founder and his maternal grandfather, the late N.T. Rama Rao.
